Baneful Tie-Up

Baneful Tie-Up

A Poem by JLily98
"

About a marriage falling apart.

"
Following in his parents' footsteps
He's always wanted to say "I do"
Another name added to his list of
"Potential Juliets":

The one whose name he can't remember
The one whose name is carved in his arm
The one who got away
And
The one who gave him a second chance
Who became
The one who helped him recover

Summer of 2012
Their dream became reality
Through sickness and in health
They agreed
But who would've thought
Out of all her vices,
Being sick would be the most powerful

Five years passed, the start of another
Enough history to write a textbook
Enough chemistry to ignite arguments
From seven years ago

Never had they thought
They'd only be tied together with
The smile of a four year old
They can't call their own
