First connection, Few words

First connection, Few words

A Poem by JMaster1

Sometimes

It takes just few words to connect

It takes short messages to feel

Few words that catch your attention

Make you smile.

Suddenly you feel , you breath

As you know,

That on the other side of your screen

Someone feels the same way,

Experience your words in a special way

Eager for you to write ,

More words ,

Someone special that is almost ,

Just almost

Like you

You close your eyes,

Let your imagination fly

You share your most beautiful words,

Bodies touch through the initial connection

You feel as you are one,

Bodies and souls

Like crying... If you truly wish to know what I feel, how reading this had made me feel, than this is my answer... Like crying. One of the most beautiful poems that I have perhaps ever read, so utterly breathtaking that by the close I was left momentarily speechless. How did you do it? How could you capture the feeling, that sensation of being touched by the words, the exchange between writer and reader so majestically? In one word this is simply 'perfection'... From the prickled flesh in the photograph to every word across the page. As if I had that moment... Entranced, encased by everything you had spoke of, where I had connected to the writer, to you in such a way that it felt as if I could have written the words myself. This brings back so many fond memories of times when author's have moved mountains within me. Brings back irreplaceable feelings of such love and joy. Sigh... This was nostalgic, JMaster1. Love at first read.:) Don't believe this feeling of the bounding shared between two could have been better written.

This poem expresses the feelings that just about every person has ever felt that has used a forum. I have met friends on forums that I have been closer to than my real life friends. I think it is amazing how much words can bond you to another person and how much easier it is to meet someone like you when you have the entire world at the end of your finger tips. You did a wonderful job capturing those feelings and emotions. I hope to read more soon!

your review is beautiful , it means alot
demonstrates the true power words can have and the bonds that can come of them. Really enjoyed this as it uses the modernisation of technology and still demonstrates connectivity which some people may beg to differ about the modern day, great work :)

Thank you so much :)
It's very easy to relate to this beautiful poem. I like how in your author's note you ask us what we feel rather than what we think ^_^
Words have a strong power. A simple word can bring joy/pain/fear/anger/life/death...
The words in this poems bring happy thoughts about relationships, from friendship and love. That sweet feeling from hearing something nice from someone we care for.
It draws a smile on my face =)

wow I am so happy now
I love this! I can definitely relate to this poem. The dopamine high you receive when you get a text from the one you adore more than anything else. Excellent job!

I have to completely agree with Kitty blur, although I am not picturing the person I am the person. I have spent many of nights on my phone sending messages and waiting. I have had to goofy smile that comes with a sweet text.

It is not even with love/romance but friendships to, I have made plenty of friends through social media some I stayed friends with and some maybe not but hey, it was something. It is nice when someone feels the same and you can openly talk to them.

Your very welcome.
I reread it twice just to feel it again. I've seen in the comments that some can connect this poem to LDRs that they've had, and it's funny because I can connect this emotion with just texting someone that I've got a close bond to. There's all of those inside jokes and tangible tones and like... isn't it incredible how words can mean so much, especially when someone you love shares them with you?

I picture someone laying in their bed with their phone out. Maybe it's midnight or later. And even though you're not physically there, this person is smiling and waiting for each of your replies. Of course, you reply quick, because you're on the other end waiting for the same thing. So cute.

One critique: I think you meant the word 'breathe' instead of 'breath' in line 6. Minor error on an otherwise pretty little piece of work.
