Though I Can't Be With You

Though I Can't Be With You

A Poem by Boris Jonathan Novak
"

If only we could wish that someone to be there, and there they are.

"
Though I can't be with you, I feel your loving embrace in the air.
I've laid out my soul for you, and it's with no one else I'll share.

Though I can't hold you, I fold my arms tight against myself.
I've tucked your love away inside of me on my heart's shelf.

Though I can't walk with you, in my thoughts I hold your hand tight.
I've known the whispers of serenity, and on wings we've taken flight.

I breathe for you, inhaling fragrant reveries, all my thoughts of you.
I've brought out all of me, creating a map of life, the one that we both drew.

My heart beats for you, I know we'll be together as we should. Am I wrong?
I've crafted a universe for you, and in it we dance together to our song.

Though I can't watch the sunset with you, I can see you in the stars at night.
I've only to look upward beyond the heavens, and there you are shining bright.
