Passive Voice

Passive Voice

A Poem by Jacob Bryden
"

Shadows whispering in my ear. What's that? It's dark?

"
Passive voice, passive voice,
Why are you so mean?
I want to say what someone did
Without is, was and been.
Passive voice, passive voice,
Why are you pervasive?
If I could use the active form
I would be more persuasive.
Passive voice, passive voice,
Get out of my head.
You're not at all frenetic
But stale and limp and dead.
