Heart Against Skull

Heart Against Skull

A Poem by Jacky Bones

Lets free fall from the top of
These self made walls
And if we cant lets kick an claw
dig an crawl
We can Contemplate
At the rate of success of escaping
But you cant run from the sun and moon
Your own crooked hooves
Begin to lose track
Of the fact you cant escape
your grave
No matter how far you go
   You still feel the breeze
    The whisper of that ghost
Whom crawled in so long ago
  So you shouldnt go alone
So take a piece of me
         An a piece of her
So take the Love
and Leave out all the rest
Leave all the drugs, the women,
The booze, and the Cuts
  Leave it for the cold
Know its brittle bones
Cant keep its hold
      For Hope Burns Bright

i like this one a lot. instead of a usual dark beautifully sad poems you usually write, i really like that this one has a light, or a hope. its very refreshing :)
