The Senses

A Poem by Jade Renee Bacon

Sight, hearing, smell, etc.

The Senses

With our sight, we can see the world.

The reds and blues, yellows and greens.

Without sight we could not see the love we share with others.

With our hearing, we can hear the world.

The traffic and horns, the songs and birds.

Without hearing, we could not hear.

With our smell, we can scent the world.

The roses and perfumes, colognes and baking goodies.

Without smell, we could not scent the world.

With our touch, we can feel the world.

The softness and hardness, rough and smooth.

Without touch, we could not feel the world.

With our sense of taste, we can salt the world.

The breads and bagels, the icing and batter.

Without taste,we could not salt the world.
