like a caged bird

beating it's wings

in an effort to be free

the heart cries

aching for freedom

the heart

trapped in a cage

desperate to unlock

sounds of the questions

reverberating in the echoes

why why why

with every heartbeat

lost deep in the soul

wandering it's halls

searching for answers

there's an ache of loneliness

as the soul looks for itself

seeking identity

fear hangs over

not wanting to be alone

scared of the questions

maybe the answers
