The Candle Light of a Winner

Make her a candle light dinner,

and for sure you’ll be a winner.

She’ll tell every one of her mates,

They’ll dream of those dinner dates.

Suspect that they are jealous
cos they’re still searching for fella’s
of such sensitivity,
and loving personality

this is very cute. men should strive for their lady's friends to become envious. He should want to be the man that every woman would kill to be with. He should be the reason why a girl will go up to her man and smack him upside the head and ask "why cant you be more like him?"

This poem could have been expanded more so as not to restrict the idea within such limited number of lines but nonetheless, aside from the last 3 lines, it has promising rhythm. It also provokes the mind to imagine a scene apt for this poem.

Not sure if I'm on the right track with this, but it sounds kind of sarcastic to me. Candlelight dinners are one of those cliche things that girls get flutteries about, but it doesn't say a thing about a man's personality or sensitivity. It can be just one of those tricks they learned to get into a girl's pants. Of course, there are those who do it for better reasons, but it doesn't guarantee compatibility. My husband makes them for me once in a while, and I know it's out of love, nothing else. Maybe a little bit else...LOL. Interesting poem.
