Lies.

Lies.

A Poem by SuicidePact.

Heart pounds,

With heavy breaths.

Significant sounds.

It’s the hidden test

I grasp for your knowledge,

Take everything that you’re given.

Watching as your nerves take control.

Notice as you wipe at your sweated brow,

Nails dig into your unsuspecting flesh,

Lips are bitten by your very own incisor.

Tell me, what you’re thinking,

Tell me your pack of lies.

"I grasp for your knowledge," Amazing. Very good.

Did you already make up your mind that it was going to be lie? A study in the art of the lie.

You have constructed the scene; the nervous, lying villain in front of you, yourself glaring them down just knowing they want to hide. But in the end we'll all take lies over nothing at all.

sometimes we need lies. that's why they say 'the truth hurts.'

This poem takes me on a roller-coaster ride. While it starts off with some heavy emotional sharing it ends with distrust and near hate. The whole thing makes me uneasy. Maybe that's the intention, to pull out extremes of reaction.
