My Well

My Well

A Poem by Jagger Cyde
"

An older one of mine that I'm finally getting around the putting up

"
You're my well
My well of sadness
My well of madness
My well of gladness
My well of emotion

When I drop my bucket
Unknown what will surface
Does is return without substance?
Is my well void?

Sometimes dry and barren
Other days full of substance
Either quenching my thirst
Or leaving me empty

My well inspires
Leaves me full of desire
My well, full of potential
Like the first spark on a fire

My well, crafted in such an elegant way
Is always empty these days
Where did the water go?
Never shall I know

Wonderful imagery
The idea of well is very well indeed.
Thanks for sharing.

Good job on this! I'm not sure if it was intentional to use "substance" twice, but I would consider revising one of them to some other word, just to provide even more detail. Other than that, great job!
