Cold as stone

Cold as stone

A Poem by Jake Staffeld

A light flows under the door

A lightning flash, a sun blast

But it can't move you

Your rooted to the ground

That Medusa woman got a hold on you

She was a snakey lady

And now you're stone

She petrified you and then left

But is a heart cold as stone better than one that's broken?

Good writing. Like the Madusa part:)

I don't know the answer to the question at the end but a broken heart can mend. Nice imagery in this, it heightens the feeling of coldness and the sense of threat in this poem.
