Letting go

Letting go

A Poem by Jake Staffeld
"

This is a response to typingaways "Do you remember me?"

"
I'm sorry this is the way it is
I didn't want to let you go
But I couldn't hold on
To you anymore

We all have to make desicions
I couldn't have cared for you
My life is too hard as it is

You could have been something
But not with me
And just passing you on
Would have killed me, too

I didn't do this just for him
I did it for me, too
And for you

I'm sorry you'll never be my child,
But it needed to be done
At least you'll never live
The life I lead

It's still not easy
To let go.

I figure that It's a little unfair for it to be only from the baby's point of view, with no consideration of the mothers. No politics, please.
