Every song's a love song 

if you sing it from the heart

and every verse a tragedy 

We knew it from the start.

Now I sit in shadows 

waiting for you to find

that place in your in your heart 

where you hid a piece of mine.

Memories are like teardrops I hope they never go

one stains my dirty face the other hurts my soul.

I've tried my best to lose it all,

she left years ago...the flames took her...we were to be friends forever...we still are, only i just feel her presence...and she envelops mine...

Heart wrenching words here....they would make a great song. Yes, unfortunately people do leave whether by choice or by death. The emotions in this are very real and powerful. The flow of the words and the rhyme is great. Well written....Lydi**

Thanks, it's meant to read like a song. It's for a very close friend who took her own life this past Sunday. It seems that's all I can write about.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. I know the feeling of losing a good friend to suicide. You keep going over in your mind the last time you spoke....could you have known? Could you have done something? The thing is, you can't think logically about an illogical act. You have my sympathies.
