The World's Last Supper...

The World's Last Supper...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Food for thought...

"
The World's Last Supper...

Do you believe that this world is here,
to serve you,

Or are you willing to serve this world,
a five course meal, with a nice fresh napkin,
and a note attached that reads,

" I'm not of this world "

And he, whom dwells in me,
is greater then he whom dwells in
this world...

" Enjoy your supper "

A very powerful poem along with the message. As long as we remember that death and life are the same and come from the same power, hopefully we will live ours decently. A wonderful write dear James.

I see where you want to direct your readers attention here . Theres two master . One leads to death and the other leads to life . One is passing the other is eternal . One is selfish pursuits the other is sacrificial giving . One is à broad way the other is narrow . Thanks for putting this in a comparative way . Our lives are full of choices . Like à buffet .

"How can I serve you?" should be everyone's question. Only in service of others do we find true joy and peace and redemption and the feeling of love and compassion. We cannot always take, we have to give back. Thank you for this wonderful, powerful, and true poem.

I like how you use pieces from John and 1 John to get your message across James. It is in the giving that we receive and you have given us a great deal to think about.

A really powerful poem, and a good question to ask. I don't think too many people right now are asking this question or even wondering.

Very impressive writing/poem.

there are so many who live thinking their existence is to be serve, or to take advantage of friends---to get rather than give.

but that needs to be turned around...and it does feel better to give, no matter what we get back for it.

i really like this poem...it has such breath of sincerity and humility...
