Rivers flow upon my soul

Rivers flow upon my soul

A Poem by Jane

Rivers flow upon my soul

But I refuse,

Refuse the world

For each little prize I have let go

I gain a secret

 A secret double

I’ll wait for you at the end of the world

Whether you come

Or the world

For though the wind could have swept me away

For him I wept, and I slept shallow.

interesting free verse ... for me repeating "world" weakens your poem just a bit ... i like the "harsh" closing ... "...I slept shallow" takes me completely by surprise ... it kind of gives your poem a senryu quality for me ... happy writing Jane!!
