Drop by drop
Bit by bit
Day by day
I die...
From inside
I have already died...
From outside
I manage to show
My strength to the world
Though they'll never know
That I am no more alive...
I live just like a machine
Designed by some designer...
I smile like a flower
But it's not natural...
I sing so well
But it's an emotional song...
I inspire others
Because I can't do for myself...
I make others live happily
Because I'm already dead...

ohhh i liked reading this poem its a simple pieace of art describing easily the theme of poem
there are many poeples in the world who live for other and smile for others

Death is not sad, what is sad is that some people don't live at all.
Never consider yourself dead. For dead are gone and forgotten. Live for the sake of doing something and just like your poems remind us that you are feeling, searching, breathing and living.

Yes, that's the point...
Have to live for the sake of other things... it's fair to do so, but we do that when we're already dead... when our wishes are dead... when an important part of us is dead...
And we live for the sake of living... we breathe for the sake of breathing......

I feel your words Ani. From one perspective I see a reflection of myself in your words, feeling like an automaton, yet on second reading, a strange thought occurred to me....It was of the Hunger games movies and how these words could be the story of Katniss Everdeen, living life she is expected to live, for the benefit of others, yet she finally rebels, not against others, but against what is expected/forced upon everyone, to be told how to live and just accept that it is right.
She rebelled, we can too.
