Observing

Waiting in the check out line
I noticed them
young and vibrant
Her pregnant belly too large for her jacket
How he gently brushed her hair from her face
and kissed her forehead

It made me smile..

Driving home
I noticed them
Retired and free
Walking hand in hand
Engaged in conversation
She obviously captivated him even still

I want that for myself one day...

Filling their coffee cups
I noticed them
Comfortable in each other
How he fed her pancakes from his plate
Then she licked her lips.. turning him on

Wanting to be that comfortable with someone...

At the park
I noticed them
Lying on a blanket together
Watching the clouds
He kissed her fingers
She blushed beautifully

I longed to be someone's treasure...

Lying alone
I noticed
How empty the bed was

I missed being someone's lover

I like You Owe You Pay's review- This was certainly not a pity call.. but rather.. an appreciation for beautiful relationships, it does seem that spring brings a revitalizing note of love in the air. Here I featured four couples I noticed in my travels yesterday.

Expressing longing for love and arms to be surrounded with indicates a brave, confident writer in my opinion, because expressing lonliness or yearning can sometimes attract pity. And I dislike pity in most of its forms. This was a smooth poem with calming, sweet imagery and colors. The couple seem really into just living and loving and I thank you for posting this write.
