The Visit

The Visit

A Poem by Eyeake
"

son visiting parents without the wife.

"
                                 The Visit
Just as he came,
He left.
I felt a pain,
A grief,
A tug in my heart.
Just as he came and said,
"Two nights!"
My heart just danced.
Then came the blow,
He said,"I'm homesick".
So two days, to just one, who knows,
And I didn't say,"NOOO".
So just as he came,
He left.

My heart had a lesson to learn,
My many more aches,
From a son,
That brings a glow to my heart and soul,
The son of generosity,
The son of jokes and smiles,
The son we look up to,
Cause he gave us a time of lessons in His youth,
Now look at Him now, as a man,
He just shines, shines, shines.

The heart I found out,
Is realistic and aches,
And guess what?
It keeps ticking like a solar watch,
Never runs out,
The visit,
Of a son that I have Hope,
 will come again some how,
And let me feel an ache, a grief, a tug in my heart,
Once more, again, and again.
Cause that's how it is with Family some how.
Every more.
