As hard as I try
There's a darkness inside
That just won't die
It's tainting my mind

My heart is not clean
I try to hide it behind my smile
The past is like dust
Covering me like a shroud

My love might just save me
How wonderful that would be
I want to be set free
To fly like a butterfly
