Native Emotion

Native Emotion

A Poem by Johnny A. Rojas
"

Guidance for my son

"

Do not get involved in that

Because the doubt will not fade

And it will be hard to make it go away

Once the wrong destination is made

And your train has reached the shore

Take the advise of this old soul

Make every decision based on hope

Do not let your emotional clock

Distort the reality of life

Make the decision to guide your life

Through a motion of thoughts

Not just the first one that jumps the highest

But the one that quietly sits by

While the young ones hop

Find the rhythm of your heart

It knows how to make you dance

Figures out the balance in your mind

And the power of the will inside

Move away from unpleasant thoughts

Because they will not drive you home

I am honestly surprised that this gem of a write doesn't have any reviews as yet,but i believe it will have many very soon. For me when words are straight from heart the structure can take second priority and over here, unlike the note you have left behind, for me the structure is good enough. The emotion is just right here. The lessons life teaches us,and how we don't want others to repeat them, others being son, daughter, younger sibling.
Move away from unpleasant thoughts

Because they will not drive you home
that line was amazing, you could not have said it better.
