Heart is one

This is for my cousin about her problems and how she became one with herself.

Seeing you with her

being in the same room

I smile and act as if everything's alright

but even I know my smile, my laugh,

my sweetness is all but a lie.

 

I do it so people won't worry

so I can move on

so I can show that I don't care

but no matter, it does not matter

I will never be seen by you

I have already notice that

I have already forgotten that

 

You see if there's one thing that is unique about me

It's that I can love in the time of war

I can show my fear to the world

but I won't let it overcome me!

No! I refuse to let it overcome me!

 

My body may change

My mind may change

but my heart will never change

My heart belongs to no one

My heart is my own

My heart is now one and whole.
