Conquered

Sometimes all we need is someone who will be by our side no matter what

At seventeen she walks with a baby
She must be characterless maybe
Oh my isn't she still so young
Words like that really stung
The secrets deep in her heart were locked
If she told them to anyone she would be mocked

Nobody knew she cried to bed
Nobody knew she had a demon as a stepdad
She still wondered why her out of the rest
However, she remembers he mentioned he liked her best
She had already died a long time back
She convinced herself her life would be now dark as the colour black

When she tried to tell the truth it was of no use
Kicked out of the house by her own Mum after physical abuse
She strayed streets seeking solace
Destiny brought her to that heavenly place
She was taken in and given love she needed without any doubt
Just like longing land for rain in the drought

She was now changed
Nothing like this could keep her constrained
Never looked back since that day
She no longer paid attention to what people had to say
Eventhough she was left with scars
She was always told by her new family she was just as beautiful as the stars.
