Storm of the Lost

Storm of the Lost

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

One moment to the next.

"
"I walked into this storm of lost souls
and I seem to be lost my self.

"Forever"

They Scream for those who they miss
and yet they seem to be happy here.

"Walking"

I can somehow explain this sight before me
greenish and grey buried within time.

"Lost"

I feel lightning strikes beside me with force
and the wind whips like the tormentor from the past.

"Alone"

They smile at me while circling me now
touching me and whispering 'come here'.

"With"

I'm afraid every moment in time I start to like it here
but yet the way I got here is twisted and enchanting.

"Nothing"

Can I escape this everlasting nightmare before I become one
How can I forget the will to love you when I was the one who lost you."

Out of all the stanzas the last is my favorite.
...Can I escape this everlasting nightmare before I become one

How can I forget the will to love you when I was the one who lost you ...
