Year of the Dragon

Year of the Dragon

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

And it begins a new.

"
"Wild yet lost within time
Forgive this moment of release.

(Love)

Yet it seems to be wondering alone
Begging to be found within the day light.

(Your)

Darkness closing in so soon it's overwhelming
Stuck holding the last light dimming and dying.

(Self)

Enchanting and breath taking at the same time
I cannot remember why I'm here in the first place.

(First)

Chains of the beast rattle loud within my mind
Helpless to see the emotion of forgiveness and rage.

(Before)

Dragging through my own swamp of demons
I hope that they see me under the moons bright light.

(It)

I feel this time has come to an abrupt end
Swirling in the abyss of empty temptation.

(Ends)

Within the breath and teeth of this monster has me again
I'm In love as she carries me away in her arms to her new paradise.

Sad tale with a happy ending! ...for when we have been dragged through the abyss of empty temptation one have to think that there is some sort of satisfaction to be obtained after pain and discomfort. Different but nonetheless a good read! Thanks for posting.
