Burning Solstice

Burning Solstice

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

Another year of hope.

"
Hot and bold it holds it's on
Fountain and foundations shatter.

(Sway)

Bless those who fall all so soon
In time in fog they perish under.

(The)

Bright and focused within the smoke
Sight pulls me close to the edge.

(Soul)

Bridge the moment and emotion
To a new time on the clock hand.

(Into)

Chapters burn and creatures slither
Loose and crumble to see the next place.

(Distant)

Ash of the old machines erupts and fall
Out of view it all seems to be crashing down.

(Unforgettable)

Holding onto the ones who cry within screams
We hope and drive into the future of the unknown.

(Memories)

Somewhere there is a place to lay thy soul peacefully
Out of time we must reach that place safe from our own masters.
