One Final Time

One Final Time

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

How It Ends.

"
                (Just)

Go outside and cherish the night
Look up at the stars above.

            (Pick One)

Pull it from the darkness and write
After dusting it off put your name.

              (In It)

 Remember this precious moment
Look close and you will see your tears.

           (And Shine)

Now place it back and give hope
  That someone remembers you.

            (Forever)

For this one final time I know now
That I have a beautiful star to look at.

Wow. This is one of the most imaginative pieces I've read in a while.... Metaphor/images just gorgeous. And I love the night and its tenderness! :-) First line has so much impact...Also, love the tear bit. Conclusion beautiful as well and image 'spot on' though it's powerful without it. An instant favorite. Read it and came on just so I could congratulate you on this one.

A simple and engrossing piece, the imagery alone lends to the reader a most grasping hand to guide, well done, good read.

I have a fascination with stars, and I love how you used them in this poem. Very bright, and your talent really shines. Amazing job Jason!!!!!

Jason - What better testimonial than a star to remind us. All you have to do is look up. I liked this. Namyh

Thanks Namyh hope you enjoyed it.
okay I have read this and come back to it 4 or 5 times now... The sentiment is lovely but it wasn't until i took the parenthetical voice to be a whisper that it struck me fully. My processing got the better of me on that point but now I feel it better. You stick a starlight in this bunnies eyes and they will cry any and every night and sooner or later come back out of his pen as did yours when you wrote this

I really did enjoy it. :)
These words I can feel and understand. Stars as tears to be chosen, just one to have for my very own. I will share this.
