A Lover's Quandary

A Lover's Quandary

A Poem by Jaxson Phoenix

Does she or does she not?
I honestly don't know.
She says she does with words,
but never lets it show.

How can I really tell,
what she's feeling inside,
when all her emotions
she consistently hides.

I gaze into her eyes,
searching for a spark.
In a faint hope to prove
that I am in her heart.

Yet I can only see
a blank and loveless stare.
So why should I believe
that for me she does care?

In a lovers quandary
I continue to be,
wondering more and more,
does she really love me?

Oh -- wouldn't be the only one in such quandary. The words mouth's speak are not always those the hearts or souls are speaking, but who are we to know the truth if they themselves sometimes even don't know. A difficult thing - this thing with love ...

Great write. Nice flow and wonderful essence. Somewhat thought provoking. Well done!
