Letter to my girls

Letter to my girls

A Poem by Wont Ever Reach The Shore

This is a letter to my girls.
There's no place in this world that I want to be.
Than with you.
I want to hold your baby faces in my child's hands.
I want to see your smile and just hold you for a while.
Life is like an hour glass mounted to the floor.
You promise you can do it even though you've never done this before.
So paddle hard and breathe so deep, let your air turn into steam.
And promise me, I promise that, that was then, a man I used to be.
God came to and held my hand, looked into my eyes and asked me to forget this world and all its lies.
So take my hand and look at me, I'm not the man I used to be.
Life begins on a whim of a fragile notion, a desire to sleep and dream.
So when life gets rough think of me and I'll be there,
Through the seas and mountain air, think of me and I'll be there.

So free flowing! An inward journey speaking of an undying love. I found this poem to be very emotional and well versed. Good work.
