Left to grow

Left to grow

A Poem by Jazmen
"

Written when I was 17

"
Devoured by those eyes
In a ballroom of moments
Angel,
the pit of me; is more fragile- to my despair
I'm longing to prove love's still here in it's isolation
There's a loss of words for my infatuation
But the thoughts remain infinite.
Leave me but love me
Forget regret and miss me
Surely promises fail at a distance
Oh, my heart...
It can be broken..

Under this bitterness there is dancing and kissing..

Daggers will be my roses
And a wound will be my heart.

Author's Note

Jazmen
Written when I was 17.
And the love was restored and exists and bloomed still to this day if you care to take note.
So sad is the heartbroken teen

oh and those are my two cats in the photo. Prince is snuggling Bowie when he was just a wee kitten. So sweet.

You dance such beautiful imagery with the bittersweet... yes... there can be such overwhelming feelings of love that are pierced through leaving only the scars as reminders.... Smiled that the love was restored.
