The Proposal (Sonnet 35)

I wrote this sonnet to propose to my girlfriend, but I don't know if I am officially using it or not though...

The very first day I looked into your eyes

I saw a beautiful soul that matched mine

And it was the most wonderful surprise

I had received a gift from the divine.

You are the most fair woman to exist

You could sow my heart, you were my suture

True love is something you cannot resist

In your hazel eyes I saw my future.

And you are and always will be my cure

Sarah, you are the meaning to my life

I have never in my life been so sure

About something, I need you as my wife.

  So here I am I am down on one knee

  With just one question, will you marry me?
