A Mother's Love

A Mother's Love

A Poem by Geo Lawrence
"

Her love is nothing but a gift undeserved.

"
.
A Mother's love for her child
Is all too blind to every bound.
See! She holds him light and mild
And suckles him untill he's full.
.
A Mother's love for her child
Is far beyond the strongest might.
See! She bathes him soft and warm
And covers him in swaddling white.
.
A mother's love for her child
Is God's love for us in a bit.
Hear the sweet lullabies she sings
And know she's done no puny feat.
.
A mother's love for her child
Is there for him until she dies.
Over her grave are roses wild
That tell her child she still loves him.

The poem is succinctly penned & captures what love God showers on mankind as explicated by the love of a mother to her child . It's a job well done.I must say that you are born for this.
