Farewell

Farewell

A Poem by Jena

I was standing in the pouring rain
And I watched him going away
I tried to breathe, but my heart
My heart was falling apart

He softly said goodbye to me
And slowly walked away.
I thought the noise of my heartbreak
Would call him back, not just forsake

I love him. And I can't carry on
Without him. I swear I tried, whereupon
I'm saying goodbye to everything
'Cause the meaning of life, for me, is nothing.
