Promise me

Promise me

A Poem by Sway

distracted

thinking of you

wondering what you’re doing

right now

replaying our conversation in my head

missing you…wishing for nothing more than

to be wrapped up in your arms

as you whisper to me that it will be oaky

I want this to not hurt

so bad

i can’t breathe

this is so hard

to want what is directly in front of  me

yet a life time away

crashed into you with such force

 I am left reeling violently

out of control

a fine line

that has not been crossed

but words spoken that affirm it all

what now

worlds and friendships will be destroyed

in the wake of an indecent proposal

suffering in silence

separately

coveting each other from afar

i selfishly

want you

need you

to be mine

you have imprinted on me

like a tattoo

permanently a part of my being

the thought of losing you

haunts me

promise me

no matter what happens

you wont leave me

promises, are sometimes the hardest things in the world to break, and even harder still to keep.
I hope they are promises that they kept for you.
