Empty promises

Empty promises

A Poem by Jennesis

Fading from waking hours
Visits come in my dreams
your lips on mine
seem so real
connection restored
strong arms wrap me in bliss
lost in your kiss
we are one
adventures being lived
finding joy in simple moments

Sunlight brightens the gray dawn
reaching for you
finding only the emptiness of
second half promises
and futures unknown
