Vincent

Vincent

A Poem by Pure Hope
"

Vincent Van Gogh

"

With brilliance he arrived

to a world not ready
for comprehending the bleeding colors-
his emotion soaked strokes
left upon each canvas,
where he played his silent melodies.

Emotions breaking mind apart,

facts and thoughts set flame
to his heart, making his down go up,
and south, left:
Truly a genius of a mess-
Past observation of happiness,

his useless heart had taken a pounding.

His lucidity triumphed in masterful sighs:

yet in time he lost his ability
to stop his own mind from
its descent to the depths of insanity.
