Her Soothing Touch

Her Soothing Touch

A Poem by Pure Hope
"

The prompt was 'silent lover' I took it somewhere special to me...

"

Honeysuckle scent

wafts from her
silky rust-raven hair.

The closer you are,

you're pulled into

soft chocolate brown eyes.

Ready to share an hour or so,

she will be there when you call,

colander for you pouring
your heart out
over a drink or two.

After a few hours

of letting your ache

dissipate in her arms,

she's gathering herself together

to gently say goodbye.

Within moments

the air settles.

Not one sign left behind,

that she was ever there

but she'll quietly
be back again,
right when you need her.
