Looking up at the sky,
my mind cannot decide
whether it's a storm
or it's the war inside me.

water on my skin,
soaking my everything.
This feeling, of dread.
Just, overwhelming me.

Waiting to drown,
in my tears,
in the rain.
I lie here rotten,
the heart has been broken.

I close my eyes
one last time,
waiting--

just waiting.
for someone
to come by
and give me
the kiss, of
eternal life.
