His Peace Alone

I will not worship human commandments,

but look ever to His inspired words.

I will not lean on my selfish will,

but pray that His will be done in all.

I will not invest in human wisdom,

but look ever to His infinite love.

I will not exalt my opinions,

but carry my cross to endless peace.

The roads of men lead to death,

but His road ends in rest for the soul.

His peace alone is for real,

for His peace alone is founded in truth.
