The rainbow's reminder is lost

The rainbow's reminder is lost

A Poem by Isimbabi

The rainbow is a reminder, reminding the message, a message that’s lost
losing, gasping, humans are fraught with a desperate wanting.
The bombs, the devil, the gun and his son.
The son, his blade, a terrible pair.
The pair, old under the sun.
Banal!
Banal is message that’s lost.
The son - has burned all - for what?
Wars, ripened and raw - poison and death, gasping for breath.
Gasping,
gasping and lost.
Lost like centaurs and sheep.

Man reminded by rainbows forget.

The depth, the fears, the wells that we’ve built.
Dug up bones,
wolves,
steal at sun-set.
Chastity, chastised, freedom is bought.
Fawn, growth, the son has been taught.
Shovel
brought to graves for the young.
The message is lost,
rest!
Man can dig his own wells,
mediocre inconsistencies, a portrait of time.

The rainbow is a reminder, reminding the message, a message that’s lost,
a promise, forgotten.
We’re drowning, extinguished.
Our minds are flooded, and flooding.
Worlds trodden
banal!
Banal is vision that’s lost.
Peace, ancient, regressing.
The fierce, the first, the death, be theirs.
Ugly, the morning sun on sin.

Man reminded by rainbows will lift swords,
Man reminded by rainbows will cause floods,
Man reminded by rainbows will die.

Despair,
the meek, repair, the wise, prepare the wise

despair.
Despair
the waters drown, violent waves, swirling flames, clay hearts' destruction -
A housing cave.
Dark, Abyss of space,
Hate, vast,
pray shooting star, pray.

Evade his trail,
man’s forgotten history - chariots, reason, war cries, cries, children and wives, husbands and queens, kings and cousins forgotten, the meek.
The wise with stories.
The fierce be the first to death.
Courage, forgotten.

The rainbow is a reminder, reminding the message, a message that’s lost.
Forgive -
the colours are grey.
Pale, olden,
the land, moons and mountains and skies,
coincidence creations
created!
Glory to the Smith.
Glorious kings, fallen,
wealth, pelt, decrees and castles, shialendra and pharaohs, forgotten -
power relinquished.
Reminder, reminded, endearing, the message,
life,
man’s unmaking.
Man
reminded by rainbows will lift swords,
Man reminded by rainbows will cause floods,
Man reminded by rainbows will drown.
Man,
unknowingly knowingly dejected.
Soothing,
the warm hues of knowledge rejected,
cycle of learning, dented.
Erudition, knowingly unknowingly rejected.
A wasteful batter -
power,
man’s unmaking.
Revolting are pallets that are soiled.
Woe, the language of poor.
The knowingly unknowing, are poor, the pale.
Coincidence creations
reminding
fireflies of skies, worded books and crescent moons,
reminding.
Reminded.
Glory to the Smith!
The reminder reminding a message that’s lost.
Woe be the language of worlds.
