On a day like today

On a day like today

A Poem by Jennifer

It was on a day like today.
When we held each other on green grass.
And watched.
Both harbouring intrigue laced with shyness.
Diamonds danced.
On cool waters spread out to the little island beyond.

On a day like today.
When we gripped and tripped,
feet full of nervous dance and pleasant apprehension,
the stones of Sketricks shrunken ruin;
and dropped off rock into each others arms..

It was on a day like today.
We felt ourselves converge, like clouds, wispily,
over oysters and coffee sipped.
In a twist of mutual love?
On a day like today.

You are a wonderful writer dear Jennifer.

The above lines. I did like a lot. We need those kinds of days. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
