Hokkaido Moon

Written for the 'Super Short Halloween Story' contest. Just a scary story written in just under 100 words.

Tukiko, her face distorted in pain, stumbled to clutch at her vanity table; perfume bottles and make-up tumbled to the floor as she supported her shaking hands upon it.

Her breathing grew heavy as her vision blurred. She glanced out the bedroom window, her maddening eyes widening as a full moon came into view. No, not tonight; it can't happen tonight!

Her muscles tensed as she let out a fierce, intense scream; her arms warped, her biceps twisted, and her ankles crunched, sending her down to her knees. As her mind fogged over, a timid voice sobbed behind her. “M-Mummy?”
