Run away

Run away

A Poem by Jmartins

Run away
Sneaking out late out night to see you.
We keep quiet so then no one can hear.
I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you would ever come.
Waiting for you for the longest time
In the woods like you said you would be.
I ran away for you
I won't run away for you ever again.

I like the simple sentence construct, it works really well in this piece to build up the picture of what's going on. Can't believe I'm going to say this but I suggest putting a full stop [aka period] at the end of every line, so that it gives a staggered effect, kind of so stunned he/she can't form full sentences, if you get me?
This is quite a sad read in a way, because he/she got let down.
Good work.

Thanks for reading my piece.

I like this poem very much. Something I think a lot of people can relate to, I remember sneaking out at night for boys. And while some people may not have left their house at night, I'm sure they broke the rules in other ways to be with a boy. Thank you for sharing this! :)
