Midnight Kiss

This came to me last night when I was half-asleep. It was a very strange night indeed. Oh yeah, happy new year everyone! Hope 2013 is a joyous one.

I stand,
Underneath the sapphire night sky,
Lit with diamonds.
Waiting.
I watch,
them light the way home.

I wait,
I wait,
For you, my love.

I have become,
A shadow in the night.
Waiting,
Waiting,
For you, my love.

Crooked hope,
Deceitful vows,
These are the gifts,
You gave me.

Haunt me, ghost.
I want to feel your kiss.
One more time.

Ours,
Is a curious fairy tale.

Yet,
I still wait for you.
I wait.
I will wait,
Forever.

I find this poem to be quite intriguing...I see the romantic aspects as an implication of your love for the natural beauty of the night.

In a way, I see these lines to be quiet haunting. This is a nice touch, because sometimes the night can seem foreboding.
