I Think of You

Mike, my friend's brother

Hey,

You probably don't remember

me.

I was a friend of your

sister's.

I remember

you.

Grinning

Laughing

Smoking,

Dancing.

   and Young.

You're gone now.

I think of you

I think of

them. The ones you

   left.

I went. I heard them all speak

of you.

A cool guy,

loved music,

friends,

life.

A good guy.

   Not bad.

Your life now in my life.

In their life more.

You're not really gone.

Just moved on, absorbed

into others.

   Lessons you now teach.

It captivated you.

good parents,

good family,

No matter.

it's stronger,

tighter, tighter, and tighter

and grasping,

I think of you.

it's not fair.

To you, or

   them.

How were you so certain?

Warned,

You ignored.

You know better,

Invincible youth.

Innocent and corrupted.

It took over,

you.

Nothing anyone could do.

No one to blame.

   Only it.

I think of them.
