To mom and dad, with love..

Not a single  day has passed,

Where I forget

The hands that rock the cradel

That is my world.

Through darkness and day,

Despair and joy

Along my path ,

You walk side by side.

You hold me when I stumble,

Lift me when I fall

Heal me when in pain.

 

Unselfish and steadfast you remain

With every step you take.

Your love for each other 

Puts to shame all contemporaries.

Tis a lesson learned,for me

To become a good man.

Your love is my flame 

Of hope.

My light in the shadows,

And a beacon for others.

This is an ode ,

To your eternal love.

A reminder for those yet to come.

Happy wedding anniversary mom and dad!!

Joel, you have written a very touching and loving tribute to your parents. I hope they have seen it. I think today many feel embarrassed to express their true feelings so I think your poem should set an example for us. We often leave it until it is too late.
