If You Love Me

If You Love Me

A Poem by Stephanie Morford
"

A poem with a simple rhyme pattern.

"
If you love me let me go,
Search the world for my own path,
Let me go to find my glow,
When the war within is done you'll see the aftermath.

If you  love me leave me be,
For in this world it is inevitable to end up alone;
One day you'll be gone and I'll have only me,
But do not be frightened I will have grown.

If you love me let me love,
For whomever I may pick will be the one I need;
Be openhearted and try not to shove,
Even though your heart may seem to bleed.

If you love me let me live,
I'll shine brighter than the sun;
The ground will clap when I give,
Because being free will be such fun.

If you love me let me go,
Do not fret mom with freedom I'll be set aglow.
