Flight

Flight

A Poem by David Gabar
"

This piece is about being caught in the moment of rock bottom, sometimes having no help, being hurt by others discouraging your potential. Realizing you had family who secretly like seeing you fail.

"
If I were the pigeon.
Do not consider me the loser.
As I take flight.
If I were the bird.
Would I expect a human like
creature to feed me.
I am the bird, I am not the loser.
Teach to eat and fly.
Because that's my flight.
You are the bird,
In need of a full stomach.
Believe that you'll make it
through the day.
You are the pigeon.
And the flight you honor today.
