The Fall of Labrys

The Fall of Labrys

A Poem by Alastair Plymouth
"

A sonnet I wrote in my Creative Writing class back in High School.

"

The Fall of Labrys

These rocky shores and these solemn places

They are the only things we remember

Of that dreadful night near the Five Faces

Of that dire month before December

It was a frigid and boreal day

Filled with the woes and shrieks of the people

They of Labrys, the land not in the way

Of they named the savage and cruel Avras.

They destroyed our homes and killed our princes

Having no care of the women or young

They slaughtered our men and marred our senses

And those that they forsook, they sold or hung.

Let this be a forewarning to you all

Never bargain with they they call Avras.

About
I guess I could write a book just on me. Maybe I'll do a biography or release a memoir one day. I'm in a time of my life where nothing seems to be concrete, final, certain. I'm transitioning from youn.. more..
