In The Dark

In The Dark

A Poem by J.R. Asor_28

Don't be scared, you're in the dark

Without the brightness of the moon,

Nor the shimmering stars

No one can see you,

But the spirits of the night

No one will hear you,

You're out of sight

Just close your eyes

And don't you dare peek

While the spirits of Death Valley

Lurks as you sleep

Whispering, manifesting, communicating...

For them to be seen

Waiting, waiting, waiting...

Hungry for your midnight screams

Wow this is heavy, but i really like it. The sense of doom and gloom is almost overwhelming haha. I can visualize the frightened being and it's really sad but so so good.
