I Know That It's Crazy, But I Feel Alone

I Know That It's Crazy, But I Feel Alone

A Poem by Miranda Olsen
"

It's not so crazy

"

I know that it's crazy, but I feel alone

It's clear I am broken, and I can't ever be whole

My friends are good company, and that's just grand

But they can only do so much, and no one understands

I know that's it's crazy, but I feel alone

I hate being here, I like to travel and roam

Finding new people gives me hope and faith

But my destiny is sealed, it is far too late

I know that it's crazy, but I feel alone

My friends are getting married, while I stay at home

One just had a baby, and I haven't dated in years

People don't understand me, and it fills me with fears

I know that it's crazy, that it's all in my head

But I can't seem to get rid of this sense of dread

Maybe one day I will change, and I'll feel included

But for now I'll remain alone and deluded.
